1. Who we are
Taxi Cozy is a taxi company in Middelburg, the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce number 84262230, VAT number NL003937133B73). Contact: info@taxicozy.nl, +31 633 803 700. Taxi Cozy is responsible for processing your personal data as described in this statement.
2. What data we use and why
Ride request: through the booking form you compose a message with your pickup address, destination, any intermediate stop, number of passengers, pickup time and, if you wish, your name, phone number, flight number and a note, plus the calculated distance, travel time and price indication. This message is composed in your own browser and is only sent when you click the WhatsApp or email button yourself. Our website does not store this data. We receive it through WhatsApp or email and use it to confirm and carry out your ride and to communicate with you. For a request by email a phone number is required, so that the driver can reach you.
Direct contact: if you call, message or email us, we use the information you share to answer your question or carry out your ride.
Legal basis: performance of a contract and our legitimate interest (answering your questions, our administration and the security of the website).
3. Address suggestions and price indication
While you type an address, we send your input from our server to Google Maps to suggest addresses and to calculate distance, travel time and price indication. The typed text, the chosen locations and a temporary session number are sent to Google. We do not forward your IP address. We do not store this data.
4. Your location
Only if you click the button to determine your location yourself and your browser grants permission, we use your coordinates to fill in your address. The coordinates are sent to our server and to Google to look up an address. We do not store them.
5. Cookies and visitor statistics
Our website does not place cookies, stores nothing on your device for visitors and uses no advertising or tracking services. To count visitors we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, without cookies. Cloudflare receives technical data such as your IP address, browser and the page visited. That is why we do not show a cookie banner.
6. Third-party services loaded by your browser
Your browser loads the following components directly from third parties:
- Google Fonts: the fonts are loaded by Google. Your IP address and browser data are sent to Google.
- Google reviews on the homepage: the reviews are loaded through Featurable and the profile pictures through Google. Your IP address and browser data are sent to these parties.
- Cloudflare: hosting, security and visitor statistics.
These parties may also process data outside the European Economic Area, under appropriate safeguards.
7. WhatsApp and email, and retention periods
We receive your message through WhatsApp Business (Meta) or Gmail (Google) and keep it there. Only the owner of Taxi Cozy has access to these messages. When you click the WhatsApp or email button, your message leaves our website; the terms of WhatsApp (Meta), Google or your own email provider then apply.
Invoices and data that form part of our administration are kept for 7 years, as required by law. Other messages about ride requests are deleted no later than 12 months after the ride.
8. Sharing data
We do not sell data. We only share data with the parties mentioned above or when required by law.
9. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Send an email to info@taxicozy.nl and we will respond within one month. If we cannot resolve it, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
